Welcome to Fiona’s Fancies Blog!

Well its finally here! After 2 years I have a brand-new website that really reflects who I am, what I stand for and what Fiona’s Fancies is all about.

I can not tell you how excited I am to finally be able to offer you an easier way to order our treats, take payment and wait for your yummies to be delivered. I have dreamed of this moment for the last  13 months creating this website has had many challenges, I have not only learnt a lot about myself but also when dealing with other businesses the right and the wrong ways and finding the right people who have the same ethics as myself has honestly been my main challenge. I have been let down and at times almost lost a quality in me called “trust”. For me when you trust someone, and they let you down its important to stand back and without changing yourself you change the way in which you do business.

This website has been no easy task and during this last 13 months I have had to walk away from 3 people/ businesses. I know, how shocking it that and what all 3 businesses shared was a lack of following through on what they said they could do. In my business I have always worked by honestly and if cannot do something I will always be honest rather than risk my repetition.

So here goes… head up high, learn from your mistakes and become stronger!

As you may know Fiona’s Fancies started in the UK and when we moved to WA in 2013 my vision as to open Fiona’s Fancies creating bespoke celebration cakes and I did for almost 4 years until I was blessed to have a little girl and things had to slow down. Two years ago, I decided that being a mum and gaining a full-time job that I could not keep up with the demand and I stopped completely. In these two year I had lost a part of me after 25 years in the industry you can’t just stop. And so, in January this year I started again but with a different concept. This being focusing on Corporate goodies to enable businesses small and large be able to market their business through corporate cookies and cupcakes.

And to top it all off I am now a blogger!!! Well we will see, I’ll give it go and hope you enjoy reading my short and sweet posts, I am also going to share tips in baking and marketing techniques and ideas. Let think outside the box and help each other grow.
